is world famous for charter fishing. The deep offshore waters provide the opportunity to catch Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Sharks, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi (dolphin-fish), plus trophy fish such as White Marlin, Blue Marlin.

Fishing from Chincoteague places us close to many of the top offshore and inshore hot spots like the Parking Lot, Lumpy Bottom, 21 Mile Hill, and the Washington and Norfolk Canyons.

Our location also offers excellent inshore fishing on numerous wrecks and artificial reefs for many prized species including flounder, sea bass, tautog, trigerfish and more.  We also have great striped bass (rockfish) fishing along the coast during the winter months.

We offer Lower Charter Rates and Hotel Prices than Ocean City and Virginia Beach

White Lightning is one of the largest charter boats operating out of Chincoteague Island.  Tournament quality fishing tackle including rods, reels, lures, and all the bait required for your trip are included in the charter price.  We also provide ice and coolers to keep your refreshments and your catch fresh while on the water.  All you need to supply is your food and drinks for the day.

The crew are US Coast Guard and Virginia licensed captains with over 30 years of charter fishing experience. We are also members of the Chincoteague Charter Boat Association, and the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce.

Wreck Fishing and Inshore Trolling
(8 to 10 Hours)      $900 
Fishing up to 20 miles off of the  coast, we can anchor or drift for a variety of good eating bottom fish including Flounder, Tautog, Sea Bass, or troll for King Mackerel, Bluefish, and Striped Bass.

24 Hour Overnight Adventures    $2600
Experience a mix of offshore trolling for Tuna, Marlin, Mahi-mahi and Wahoo during the day and chunking for Tuna and Swordfish at night.
